Abbey Dabbey petsitting business was started by Elda and Marielle Abbey in Rio Rancho, NM in 2002. What is in the name? "Abbey" is our last name, "Dabbey" just to rhyme. We moved back to Texas in 2004, residing in Boerne, where our business has continued to thrive. This past summer, Marielle celebrated her marriage and moved to Dripping Springs. Fortunately, when visiting a prospective client, I met my new assistant, Lyn Greenwald. (Read Lyn's profile below)

On October 1st, 2001 Shadow and Tequila had 7 puppies, we kept one, Whiskey.

This is Tequila (Tequie) as a puppy, she is a very smart dog. She won our hearts with her cute personality. As you can tell we love Cocker Spaniels, we had 10 at one time!

Lyn Greenwald joined Abbey Dabbey Pet Sitters in July, 2008. Lyn has been a resident of Boerne for 14 years, and has been an animal lover her entire life. Currently Lyn and her husband have a family of five dogs and four cats. In the past they have raised and cared for horses, cows, parrots and fish. Lyn has extensive experience in caring for animals with health problems and is able to administer medications, and change bandages, etc. In addition, she volunteers with the Breeding Program for the Canine Explosive Team at Lackland Air Force Base, socializing the pups and assisting in weekly veterinary checkups. As part of this program, Lyn and her husband have been foster parents for Saber, a Lab, who is now completing his military training and will be deployed overseas to detect land mines. Lyn is retired and in addition to her passion for working with animals, she serves as a lay minister for her local church. References available upon request.
