Who Are We?

 

In memory of Elda Abbey - Founder

(November 1, 1949 - November 11, 2022)

Elda was a resident of Boerne since 2004. After many years of being an executive secretary in the banking industry, she decided to dedicate herself to what she loved the most, caring for animals. There was never a time when Elda did not have pets in her life. Elda’s dream was to create a pet sitting company that focused on ensuring her client’s peace of mind while doing what she did best, loving and caring for their pets. She truly succeeded in making her dream come true for over 18-years. She is missed every day, but we know she is continuing to love all the pets that have crossed over the Rainbow Bridge.

 

Lyn Anello - Owner

Lyn has been a resident of the Boerne/Fair Oaks area since 1994. In addition to her corporate career and her many years spent in Christian ministry, she is passionate about animals. For decades, she has rescued and sheltered many of God’s precious creatures, including dogs, cats, parrots, cows and horses. One of her most memorable experiences was volunteering with Homeland Security’s Canine Explosive Detection program. She fostered two of the incredible pups, preparing them for a life of serving our country. She currently has precious rescue dogs who are her family. Her beautiful mare, Whitney, sadly galloped over the Rainbow Bridge on April 10, 2023, taking a huge piece of Lyn’s heart with her. She also sponsors an adorable senior pup, Birdie Dog, who resides at the Living Grace Canine Ranch in Bertram, TX. Lyn enjoys spending time outdoors, as well as cooking, reading and gardening. Elda and Lyn were friends for over 15-years and Lyn often assisted Elda on weekends and holidays. Lyn joined Elda full time as Partner in 2018. Lyn’s favorite quotes are “The miracle is not that we do this work, but that we are happy to do it.” (Mother Teresa) and “Caring for animals isn’t what I do, it’s who I am.”

Services & Fees

 Full Service Fee = $30/Visit; 45 to 60 minute duration

  • Collect mail and newspaper

  • Turn lights on/off

  • Take trash/recycle out on collection day

  • Safety check house perimeter

  • Text updates and photos sent at each visit

  • Feed and water house pets

  • Exercise/potty break

  • One-on-one playtime and attention

  • Poop Pick-up

  • Clean litter boxes

  • Water houseplants

Additional Services

  • $20 for mid-day/potty break visits; 30 minute duration

  • Administer medications - TBD

  • Feeding and care of additional animals (parrots, horses, donkeys, chickens, goats, etc) - TBD

  • Additional home care (watering outside plants/flowers, etc.) - TBD

    *Please note that we are UNABLE to provide overnight pet sits.
